How Fave Sonar collects and handles information about you.
Last updated: 2026-10-01
1. Introduction
Fave Sonar (the "Service") is an unofficial fan site where fans post impressions of each show of a live tour and react to other fans' posts. This policy explains what information the Service collects and how it is handled.
This policy is published in Japanese and English only. It applies to you even if you use the Service in another language.
2. Information we collect
- Account information — the name, email address, and profile image URL we receive from Google when you sign in with a Google account. We never receive your password. Your name is not shown to other users in the Service.
- Information you register or post — artist and tour or event hashtags, show dates, topics, the text of your posts, reactions, attendance registrations, view-only mode settings, and your display name.
- Notification settings — the email address used for notifications (your Google account address) and which kinds of notification you receive.
- Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store card numbers; we keep only the payment identifier, amount, status, and which tour was purchased.
- Reports — the reason and optional details, and the reporter's account if signed in.
- Opt-out requests — the hashtag concerned, your role, name or organization, reply email address, the action requested, and any details.
- Inquiries — the email address, name (optional), category, and message you send through the contact form.
- Usage data — access timestamps, IP address, user agent, and cookies.
3. How we use it
- Providing the Service (displaying shows, topics, and posts, recording attendance, controlling spoiler visibility, recaps, and sharing)
- Processing purchases and providing the purchased features
- Sending notification emails (Section 7)
- Preventing abuse and enforcing limits on posts and reports
- Handling reports and opt-out requests, and investigating violations of the Terms
- Replying to and handling your inquiries
- Serving advertising (Section 6)
4. Content that is made public
Posts are published so that anyone, including people who are not signed in, can view them (posts on post-show topics are shown only to people who attended the tour or use view-only mode until three weeks after the tour's final show). The author's name is not shown.
Attendance registrations are shown only as a count of attendees per show. Posts on pre-show topics show a mark indicating whether their author is attending (or plans to attend) that show. Who is attending is not shown.
Authors can delete their own posts. If you want content about you removed, use "Report" on the post or the contact address at the end of this policy.
5. Checking content with AI
To check that content is not clearly inappropriate (harassment of a specific individual, sexual content, hate, encouragement of violence, illegal activity, or spam), does not contain information that identifies a person, and whether it is negative, the Service sends the following to an AI provided by Anthropic, PBC (United States).
We send newly registered artist and tour hashtags, and the text of posts together with their topic and tour name (when posting, when editing, and just before a post enters the hall of fame). Content judged inappropriate is not saved.
We do not send your account information, such as your name or email address. What is sent is handled under Anthropic's privacy policy (https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy).
6. Advertising
The Service displays Google AdSense advertising on the tour list and on tour, show, and topic pages. People who bought a tour do not see advertising on that tour's pages.
Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads).
If you access the Service from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent to advertising and measurement cookies through a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP). If you decline, you will see non-personalized advertising instead. You can change your choice at any time.
If you access the Service from certain U.S. states, the same mechanism provides the choices required regarding the "sale" and "sharing" of personal information.
7. Notification emails
We may send notifications to your Google account email address when you register a show, when your posts receive reactions, before shows you plan to attend, and when your recap is ready. We never send them to third-party addresses.
You can turn off each kind of notification on My page, or from the unsubscribe link in each email without signing in.
8. Sharing and processors
We do not share your information with third parties except as required by law. We do rely on the following processors to operate the Service:
- Google LLC — sign-in, advertising, and consent management
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting and database
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing
- Anthropic, PBC — checking content with AI (Section 5)
- Plus Five Five, Inc. (Resend) — sending email (the email that notifies us of a new inquiry or opt-out request, which includes the sender's email address, name, and message, and the notification emails in Section 7)
9. Retention
Posts are kept until their author deletes them or chooses deletion when deleting their account. Other users' posts stop being displayed two years after they were posted, but the data is kept (hall-of-fame posts are displayed indefinitely).
When you delete your account, we delete your display name, profile image, notification settings, attendance records, view-only settings, and the reactions you gave, and your posts are anonymized or deleted as you choose. Purchase records are kept for accounting.
To have other data deleted, contact us at the address below.
10. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction on the use of the personal data we hold about you. Contact us at the address below.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR and UK GDPR additionally give you the right to data portability, to restrict processing, and to object to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
11. Cookies
The Service uses cookies to keep you signed in. These are necessary for the Service to function; if you block them you will not be able to sign in.
We also use a cookie to remember the display language you select, so that it carries over to your next visit. It is written only when you switch languages and is not used to identify you.
For advertising cookies, see Section 6.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated text and its revision date on this page.
